Marking Hints as 'Fixed'
Marking Hints as 'Fixed'
Updated over a week ago

Lots of users like to treat Sitebulb's Hints as a checklist, before diving deeper into other issues. From a process point of view, it is helpful to be able to check items off as done or 'investigated.'

Sitebulb allows you to mark any Hint as 'Fixed', and optionally add a comment attached to this.

Navigate to your Hints list

Open an Audit and jump into your hins list from the main menu on the left hand side or from the report overviews.

Mark Hints as Fixed

Every Hint has a 'Mark as Fixed' button on the right hand side:.

Mark as fixed

To mark a Hint as fixed, simply click that button, add a comment if relevan, and click the gree 'Tick' to confirm.

Mark Hint as fixed

You will see a green 'Fixed' box appear in the top right-hand corner of the Hint. Hover over this green box in order to see the comment.

Viewing Fixed Hints

Moving forward, this Hint will remain 'Fixed' within this Audit. So if you navigate into a different Audit or Project, and return to this Audit, the Hint will still be 'Fixed'.

Similarly, in other areas of the Audit, such as the 'All Hints' page, the 'Fixed' designation will carry through, for any Hints you have marked as fixed.

All Hints - Hint fixed

There are two important things to note regarding this functionality:

  1. Marking a Hint as 'Fixed' does not alter the audit scores. It is simply designed as a mechanism for marking items as done.

  2. The 'Fixed' designation only applies to the audit where it is implemented Audit. The Hints will be marked as fixed on future Audits on the same website.

Ignoring Hints

As we mentioned above, the 'Fixed' tags do not carry over between audits. You may wish to 'Ignore' certain Hints in order to stop them from showing up on future audits. This is handled by slightly different functionality - find out more about ignoring Hints settings here.
