All Sitebulb plans allow you to create an unlimited number of Audits and Projects. That means over time, your project dashboard may become crowded with old, outdated or even incomplete data.
Deleting Audits and Projects can help you stay organised and pare down this accumulation of data to what's useful.
Deleting Projects in Bulk
Your Project list shows every Project you have created, organised by the date of the latest audit run within that project.
From this view, you can select one or multiple projects using the Select column on the left. Use the 'Delete Projects' button to delete the selected projects.
Once you click the 'Delete Projects' button, you will be asked to confirm the action before the data is deleted.
Keep in mind that deleting projects is irreversible; the deleted data will be wiped and unrecoverable.
Deleting Audits
If you have been auditing a website repeatedly over a long period (e.g. for a retainer client), you may find that you have lots of old audits which you simply no longer need. You may not want to delete the entire Project, as the most recent audits are still important to keep.
In order to clean up the list of Audits within a Project, head over to the Project, and scroll down to view the Website Audit History list. The list displays the date of completion and size of the audit, so you can easily decide which audits are no longer needed.
Select the audits you want to delete using the column on the left. Once one or more audits are selected, you'll see the 'Delete Audits' button become available. Use it to delete the selected audits.
Once you click the 'Delete Audits' button, you will be asked to confirm the action before the data is deleted.
Just like with deleted Projects, deleted Audit data is unrecoverable.
You can also individually delete audits in your list using the red 'Delete' button on each Audit row.
Deleting Imported, Paused, and Interrupted Audits
The Paused and Interrupted audits tabs will contain unfinished audits that may no longer be relevant to you (e.g. if you have run a successful audit within the respective project since).
In particular, I find 'Paused Audits' is a place where forgotten Audits go to die. To make it easier to keep your data organised, Sitebulb will automatically delete Paused audits after 14 days. But you can also choose to manually delete these using the red 'Delete Audits' button on each row.
